I'm a CPR and First Aid certified. The safety and happiness of the children are my priority and I love to have fun with my kids, going to parks, walking, etc. If you're looking for someone reliable, fun, and energetic to take a good care of your precious child, I would like to have a chance to talk to you. Thanks for your interest on my profile.

Telma is an amazing caregiver and you would be lucky to have her. Snatch her up if you get the chance! Telma has been with us for two years and has cared for our two year old and one year old with grace, energy and compassion. She started with us when our two year old was 3 months old and has cared for our second son since birth. My two year old now knows his numbers and the alphabet and understands and can communicate in Portuguese and English. Not everyone is capable of handling two kids this young and this close in age. Believe me, I tried to find a weekend sitter (Telma worked for our family 50 hours during the week) and couldn't find anyone that even came close to Telma's energy and capability. One of the mom's in our neighborhood said she would have another child just so she could have Telma as a nanny. The only reason we gave Telma up was because we moved to another State and couldn't convince her and her husband to move with us :-)

Hi there! My name is Alyssa and I have been caring for families off of Care for more than 12 years. I have a master's degree, in addition to early childhood education, elementary school and special education teaching experience. My childcare background includes caring for multiples, newborns, medical and special needs children - including, but not limited to, type 2 diabetes, ADD, ADHD, autism, and pervasive developmental disorder. I'm also a big animal lover and stay very active. I believe in spending time outside of the house and always provide picture updates for parents. Downtime includes reading, music, arts and crafts and of course a good movie every now and then. My work hours are flexible - I also do overnights. Shoot me a message if you need references or if you have any questions!

Alyssa is an amazing person, sitter and friend. She watched my son E in her home for a year, full-time, while I went to work, from when he was about 10 months to almost two years old. She always had fun and interactive activities planned for the day while keeping to a schedule that allowed E to play and learn at the same time, while still having a routine. E loved being with her and was always happy when I picked him up after work. She goes above and beyond for the kids and parents in the way she cares then I could have ever imagined. I never had to worry about my baby when he was with her. She is a sweet, caring and patient person (not just with the kids but with the parents as well). She was like E's second mom and we were extremely grateful to have her in our lives. I would definitely recommend Alyssa to care for your child, I promise you'll love her as much as we do!!

FAQs for finding child care

What is the going rate for a child care provider on Care.com?
The average rate for hiring a child care provider on Care.com as of October, 2020 is $14.00 per hour. This rate will fluctuate depending on your location, how much experience the child care provider has and the number of children to be watched. Other factors that may also influence the rate include the need for additional child care duties and any specialized care needs you have, such as overnight care.
How can I find someone to provide child care for my kids?

The first step is to outline what you'd like from a candidate before starting your child care search. Think about how much you are willing to pay, the level of experience you wish them to have, if you want them to have any first-aid certifications, and if you need them to handle additional duties beyond taking care of your kids.

After this is completed, create an account on Care.com and answer a few questions to find child care providers that match your needs. You can then either post a job that can be seen by our extensive pool of caretakers, or search for child care providers on Care.com based on years of experience, hourly rate, availability, distance from your area, etc. After you have selected your candidates, you can schedule interviews, check references, request additional background checks, and hire the child care provider that best meets the needs of your family.

Is it safe to hire a child care provider during the Covid-19 pandemic?
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Care.com is giving child care providers the option of showing families that they have checked their household for fevers and are being proactive about their health. We can't make any guarantees about an individual's health, but we're hoping this can be the start of a conversation between you and your potential child care provider. You should also familiarize yourself with the official safety information from the CDC before anyone begins working in your home.
