Hello! I very much enjoy housekeeping! I am very thorough and meticulous with my clients homes! I would love to be given the chance to help out you and your family! I love cleaning and organizing and also helping members of my community. I work hard and I treat people with respect while understanding the professional nature necessary for working in someone's home. I am very loyal, honest, and I work with integrity! I am a 27-year-old mother of a 5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl. My son is in school and I have found myself with extra time to possibly supplement my husband's income. I have full time experience caring for a clients home including taking care of dishes, laundry, and deep cleaning bathrooms/floors, dusting, cleaning baseboards and windows, surfaces and organizing garages/closets/drawers/basements. I know how stressful this process can be of looking for in home help and I would love to be given the chance to meet or have a phone call. I have many references and reviews!

Sarah is a dependable housekeeper, but where she really shines is through her talent as an organizer. I hired Sarah after a recent interstate move. My house was filled with stacked moving boxes. Sarah came in, unpacked the boxes and, with my input, organized each room. She was able to make suggestions about storage of items I did not currently need. She patiently showed me how each room (say the kitchen) was organized and why. She's the best I've ever seen (and I'm a retired Navy wife with many moves behind me). Sarah quoted me a price before we started, which allowed me to budget the project. I highly recommend Sarah.

FAQs for finding a housekeeper

How much does it cost to hire a housekeeper in 2021?
Based on Care.com's data, the national average rate for a housekeeper is $15.75 per hour as of October 2021. The cost will vary based on your location and other factors, such as the size and condition of your home and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. In some cases, housekeepers will charge a flat rate per day, but you can discuss the details during the interview process and agree to a rate that works best for both parties.
In 2021 how best can I find a housekeeper?
You will have the option to search for housekeepers by narrowing down your candidate options based on their hourly rate, years of experience, distance from your location, availability and other factors. You can also post a job to receive applications from housekeepers listed on Care.com. After you have selected and screened some candidates, you can hire the housekeeper that best matches your needs.
Are housekeepers background checked?
Yes, housekeepers on Care.com are asked to complete an annual background check called a CareCheck. Housekeepers who complete this background check will have a badge on their profile displaying the date it was run. While CareCheck is a good start, we strongly recommend that you follow some additional steps for hiring a housekeeper safely, which include interviewing candidates, checking references, and running your own background check. Visit our Safety Center to learn more.
How often should I have my house cleaned?
It's easier for your housekeeper to maintain the condition of your home with more frequent visits. With a weekly or bi-weekly visit, there will be less cleaning work per visit and usually costs less.
What will a housekeeper do?
Each housekeeper does things a little different, but in general, a housekeeper will help you to keep your home clean and organized on a regular basis. It is a good idea to go over the detailed tasks you expect your housekeeper to perform so you can both agree on what will and won't be done. Standard duties to discuss include cleaning the main areas of your house, such as the kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathrooms. Housekeepers may also clean the floors, mop, vacuum, remove dust from furniture, clean toilets, showers, mirrors and sinks in every bathroom, and change bed linens in every bedroom. They can also help organize your home by lightly decluttering, doing laundry and folding clothes.
